(Hatfield Herts UK)

Aubrey Robert 'Bob' Mills formed Die Casting Machine Tools Limited in 1939, and used the Lone Star brand name for die cast toys, which appeared in 1947. The Lone Star Locos pushalong trains range was introduced in 1957, the scale being 2mm/foot with a track gauge of 8mm. Track was cast, as were locos, coaches, wagons, stations and other accessories.

Treble-0-Lectric followed in 1960, using 9mm N Gauge track, nickel silver rails with a plastic base. Locomotives used a centrally mounted 12v DC motor with drive shafts connected to axles using neoprene bands. The range of models included British and American prototypes, production ceasing circa 1965. Lone Star ceased trading 1988.
