Haji/Mansei was one of the smaller Japanese toy manufacturers, known to have been in operation during the 1950s and 60s, and possibly early 1970s, Mansei Toy Co being the producer, using the brand name Haji. The tinplate range included the usual Japanese range of road vehicles, ray guns, trains and 'cute' animals including chicks and monkeys. The range of trains was fairly extensive, made in both S and H0 gauges, using formed tinplate and plastic. Locomotives were available with battery, clockwork and friction motors.
Please visit Dan MacKellar's excellent site for far more details and illustrations of Haji and other similar battery operated trains in various scales and gauges.
